Olivia Culpo will have a scheduled C-section for the birth of her second baby.

The 34-year-old model and her husband, San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey, are getting ready to welcome their second child but they are trying to juggle the birth with Christian's work commitments amid the new football season.

Speaking in a new TikTok, Olivia shared that she will have a C-section on a day when McCaffrey, 30, has a "slightly easier" schedule.

She explained to fans: "Christian's leaving for the season. So sad. Everything feels overwhelming. Plan is I'm having a C-section because I had a C-section in July last year, so having a VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Caesarean) wasn't an option.

"Basically, it's on an off day for him, so he'll be able to come just for the birth. And then aside from that, he'll have to go back. So it's gonna be different than my first birth.

"All the misconception is that the football season starts like [in] September when all the games start, but it really doesn't. It starts at the end of July because that's when they go to camp, and then just goes right into the season."

Because she will be without her husband following her baby's birth, Culpo said she is "grateful" for her "village and large security detail" as she will be juggling caring for a newborn with looking after their 12-month-old daughter Colette.

Last year, Olivia admitted she had initially been worried that having a baby would adversely impact her career.

She told The Squeeze podcast: "There's totally a shift. Whether or not you want there to be or not, you have somebody that's physically dependent on you. So I'm not going to sugarcoat it. Yeah, it's scary."

But, she shared that McCaffrey had been supportive of her career.

She explained: "I'm so grateful that I have my husband because while I'm totally working and I'm doing everything in my power to keep working and I'm so happy to have the opportunities that I have. Let's say they all went away - would I have the same ability 10, 12, 15, 20 years ago to light that fire up my butt when I have somebody who really needs me, which is my baby? No. And I would choose my baby 10 times over, obviously."
