Zendaya loves "growing together" with Tom Holland.

The 29-year-old actress met her now-husband on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming a decade ago and they have gone on to star in a number of films together, and Zendaya thinks it is a "privilege" to be able to work with her "best friend".

Asked if there's a friend in her career whom she is grateful to have grown up alongside, Zendaya told MTV UK: "Well, Tom, obviously, my best friend, but being able to do these films with him is a privilege, and I love to be able to grow together and watch him.

"I mean, he's the best."

Meanwhile, Tom recently admitted Zendaya has helped him cope with life in the spotlight because of the sense of "calm" she brings to his life.

He told Entertainment Tonight: "I think Zendaya always just brings me an unbelievable sense of calm.

"Even in the midst of all of this craziness and traveling the world and making these movies and sometimes being really overwhelmed -- because that's what happens when you're a human being... No one calms me down better than she does."

And he also spoke of how much he loves making movies with his wife because she is so talented.

He told E! News: "The truth is that she raises the game.

"She's the type of actress where every scene is better when she's in it.

"She raises the stakes for everyone."

Tom - who reprises his role as Peter Parker/ Spider-Man opposite Zendaya as MJ in Spider-Man: Brand New Day - feels "very lucky" to have appeared alongside his significant other in several projects, including The Odyssey.

He added: "She's truthful in every decision she makes as an actress.

"And any time that I get to share the screen with her, I'm very lucky."

The couple have previously admitted they like to keep their relationship as private as possible.

Speaking on On Purpose with Jay Shetty, Tom said in 2023: I don't talk about it. I try my best to keep it as private as possible. We both feel very strongly that that is the healthiest way to move on as a couple."

And Zendaya told Elle magazine: "It's about protecting the peace and letting things be your own but also not being afraid to exist."

Tom usually doesn't join the Greatest Showman actress on the red carpet at her premieres because he wants Zendaya to enjoy "her moment".

He told Men's Health magazine: "Because it's not my moment, it's her moment, and if we go together, it's about us."
